Joining BAPIC
Please see below for details about becoming a BAPIC member.
Doctoral Practicum Agencies
Thank you for considering partnering as a practicum training site with the Bay Area doctoral psychology programs.
The BAPIC schools coordinate and administer all full (required) doctoral practicum training placements through the BAPIC match process.
Here is a link to general Site Guidelines. Full, or required, doctoral practicum training placements are:
Required elements of students’ doctoral education (as compared to supplemental/optional clinical experience)
Completed for credit
Between 16 and 24 hours per week, for approximately 9 to 12 months.
Students who match through this matching process are considered obligated to your agency and vice versa.
Doctoral Psychology Schools
Thank you so much for your interest; we welcome local doctoral psychology programs who are interested in joining the Bay Area Practicum Information Collaborative. BAPIC schools work together to grow and maintain relationships with local training programs, host a Bay Area-wide Practicum Fair each year, and coordinate with practicum sites and doctoral students for a successful yearly match.
Doctoral Psychology Students
Membership is by school rather than student; if you are interested in having your school join BAPIC, please forward the information above to your Field Placement Office. The BAPIC Application and Match is a closed system, and so unfortunately students who are not attending BAPIC Member Schools will not be able to attend the BAPIC Fair, participate in the Match, or access the BAPIC Directory.
